Many African nations have battled against violent offshoots from the Watchtower Society called "Kitawali" meaning simply "Watchtower" movement, who have been silent murderers in the dark, whose origins date back to the days of first Watchtower President CT Russell.

I quoted this from an E-mail from the jahchristian group.

    Does anybody have any comment?

These people broke away from the Watchtower, even though they still use the name. To a loyal JW, they are "apostates," and therefore most of us on this board can be pigeon-holed right along with them in the narrow, black-and-white thinking of the average JW.

They did originate at the WT though. Do any Watchtowers or Awakes in those days mention anything about this group? Why did they become murderers in the dark? Was it due to WT indoctrination?
Nobody just becomes murderer in the dark for nothing.

Though the Kitawali broke from the WT they continued many of the same teachings then current in Russell's time, adding violence to combat British colonialism, were very popular & some regard the Mau-Mau (au is said like ow in how now brown cow) as wings of the Kitawali or WT movement. Those slit throats of colonists during the night then vanished at daylight.

the Mau-Mau... slit throats of colonists during the night then vanished at daylight.

    Anewperson,

They might have kept some of the same teachings as the Watchtower but certainly not the one about 'waiting on Jehovah.'

Man!! Talk about taking matters into one's own hands...

Imagine all the things indoctrination leads to.
