But I thought it prudent to point out that ALL parents "brainwash" their kids. All of us. Some for the good, some for the bad, some... with no traceable outcome at all. You kind of have to because if you don't someone else will... whether a religion... or a cartoon... a magazine... or a billboard.

("Eat your vegetables, Billy, so you can grow up good and strong!" "Don't do that, Jimmy, or you'll go blind!")

Most often, it's not that we're really even thinking about how they'll grow up at all... and we know they won't go blind. We just want 'em to hurry up and eat the dang peas... and keep their fingers out their noses when company's over.

    Peace to you!

It's a bit off topic, but I still think it's hilarious how some braindead dubs respond when they are accused of being brainwashed:

"Well, we may be brainwashed, but at least our brains are now clean!"

I would guess if you called them "braindead", they would respond, "well, we may be braindead, but at least our brains will now get a resurrection in the New World(tm)!"

    What a bunch of twits!

The whole of society is set up that way. Any innovation is outlawed in order to protect those in charge (and they will not let that change, even if they have to kill people and/or imprison them to prevent them from marketing anything that will put them and their parent corporations out of business). So, children have to be stifled in school, at home, and (especially) in church. Anyone that wants to innovate is stifled in all these places. Learning is designed to specialize people into assigned ruts, preventing anyone from developing anything new--if allowed to continue, and if the Washtowel doesn't successfully use me to plunge the whole world into the Second Dark Ages, we will forever be stuck in the 1950s minus any dreams of what could lie ahead.
