So anyway, all previous attempts to speak with my husband about my doubts have ended up in a HUGE fight, with him asserting that somehow I'm not in my right mind. But last week, I delicately brought it up again, and surprisingly his reaction wasn't all that bad. He actually listened!! Could there be hope???

Highly recommended. It will assist you with understanding how your husband thinks, as a result of the indoctrination. It may help you to avoid "triggering the cult personality", at which point he will defend the indefensible, etc.
I'm in central MS, the tri-county Jackson area. It's good to see more apostates from the Magnolia State.
