DejaVu Santa Claus

A couple of weeks ago, I posted about how when my parents became dubs, I still watched for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. I thought he just didn't come to our house anymore. An interesting situation came up this week that made me think of that again.

Our seven year old grandson has been raised as a JW, until this late this year, and his mother is no longer active either, but is still uncomfortable about the holidays, which I find understandable. I was too for a long time. He and my husband were looking at a miniature village in a Christmas department, at a big store this week, and grandpa said that one of the chimneys looked too small for Santa Claus. Our grandson replied that Santa can fit in any chimney. It occurred to me that he has thought the same thing I always had, that the other kids get a visit from Santa but he didn't.

They aren't doing Christmas this year, but I wonder about next year. I hope so. It would be nice for him to have a year or two of Santa visits, while he is still young enough to believe it.

    Mulan,
Awww, that is the hardest part about this. Christmas is such a joyous holiday, and the joy that a child has to get toys! What child would not want that, and how sad to be left out. I can tell you from a child of the org, that I actually am feeling childlike again as each holiday comes. I don't know, not celebrating earlier, may help me stay younger longer

I thought our Mulan had been to one of the DejaVu strip clubs around Seattle and had a little XXXMas story to tell.

Awww, I didn't hear that one! I would have snuck them a present to leave on on the hearth for C! I think Santa might have to drop off a present here for him.

    Now, there's an idea!!

I told his Dad, Princess. He was surprised, so is thinking about it all, a bit more than he would have.
