Could it be they really do love me and miss me and want to be true shepards and welcome me back. Am I really the 'lost sheep out of the 99' and they are here to show Christ-like love to me and my family? Have they really just been sooooo busy for 8 months and they are terribly sorry, their was no excuse for that and they are going to make it up to us? ................

Oh, the CO's in town next week, just wanted to check if my 'records' are current. Gosh I'm so sorry I wasn't here when they stopped by and only got to listen to their message on the phone.

Isn't it strange what these idiots will do right before the CO comes? The CO must be the most decieved person in the org. Any CO's or ex-CO's who know what really goes on when their not around?...............wf

It's like Prez Obama said in his speech the other day: without a deadline to meet, Washington won't get anything done!

Without the CO's visit, elders drag their collective feet, too....then rush rush rush to tie up loose ends before he arrives.

I know, and what makes me crazy is that now these elders can go back to the co and say, "we've tried to contact her, we went by to see her, she didn't answer, wont talk to us, etc........" when that's the farthest thing from the truth! Why do they preach that they are from Jehovah, set up to care for the 'sheep' and then NOT do it? Why do they even set themselves up like this? Unbelievable.

On the one hand, we just want to fade away graciously without notice and no fanfare.

On the other hand, our feelings are hurt that people we have been close to for years ignore us, or worse, don't even notice the extent of our fade. They act as if they couldn't care less and it saddens us. (Where are they? Don't they even care that I'm a lost sheep? )

When I heard Roberto's story the other day (on the phone coference), he had been in since he was two, worked his way all the way to the top, when he stopped going nobody got in touch with him for two years! And he was a Circuit Assembley Overseer! Didn't make me feel so bad. And when they finally talk to you, they never ask how you are, they are cold and tell you what they want.

I'm posting a note on my door this weekend that says "Now you can go tell the CO you stopped by, you did your job. Now never come back!" I'm serious. Their CO visit is next week, I think I can expect someone to try to stop by, I don't know........wf

ya it's a joke whenever the CO come through. Not only on the part of the BOE but every publisher that is inactive shows up. Parking lots bursting at the seams with cars, and there's hardly an open seat inside.

Well 8 months is pretty good for seeking out the lost sheep of Jehovah. My wife's been waiting on 5 years since she tried contacting the elders.

If and when they come by, remember, keep your cool, don't let them draw you into arguments, and simply tell them you are on a spiritual quest and taking some personal time for prayerful contemplation. Let them know you are happy, at peace, and will be just fine...."thanks for dropping by".
