We were there last night and wondered if/how Aretha would acknowledge or pay tribute to his death. About 1/2 way into the show, she acknowledged some people in the audience, among them being Jesse Jackson. She said that Jesse was in town to comfort the Jackson family. She said something about the loss of a brilliant musician and to have a moment of silence. You could have heard a pin drop. I thought it was handled very well, short, sweet and appropriate.
