    but still attends meetings wouldnt she get some kind of counsel for that ? she gives no reason for leaving him i dont think he is violent the couples two boys are with mum also so she can claim benefits . its very confusing maybe she has seen the light but dosnt want to loose the kids so still goes to meetings .

    Yes, she would be counseled most likely reproved if she did not have approved grounds for separation.

    One cannot be reproved for separation if it is not trumpeted. However, it is likely that if both had privileges, both would lose them. (i.e., elder, pioneer, etc)

    We had four couples at one time that were separated. Neither of them had any "privileges" but there was not judicial action taken. The elders did talk to them but......some had been separated for several years. The only thing that was said was that it made them a likely candidate for adultery.

    There are a lot of valid reasons for separation. But the only way to find out is to pry into someone's personal business which I know you don't want to do.
