Things you may not know about The Watchtower and The Trinity

    Here are some things you may not know, which the Watchtower Society teaches, in regards to the Trinity/Deity of Christ:

    (If you want to find out more, I can post references later, when I have more time)

    * Jesus has the same Nature as Jehovah.

    * Jesus is the exact representation of God's Being.

    * Jesus is much better than the angels.

    * Jesus can be called "God."

    * The angels worship Jesus.

    * For decades Jehovah's Witnesses were taught to worship Jesus as The Mighty God, a 2nd god along with Jehovah the Almighty God. (Now it's considered idolatry)

    * For decades Jehovah's Witnesses taught that Stephen prayed to Jesus in Acts 7:59, but now they say it was NOT a "prayer" after all. It was just an "appeal."

    * That Jesus was Michael the Archangel in heaven before He came to earth, then God made Michael cease to exist, then God created a new perfect human being inside of Mary's womb named Jesus, and transferred Michael's impersonal "Life-Force" into the human Jesus. Then, when the human Jesus died, God created a new spirit creature named Jesus/Michael and implanted the memories/personality from the human Jesus and the angel Michael into this new spirit creature. The original Michael and the human Jesus no longer exist.

    It is much easier to prove JWs are silly than to prove the trinity on its own merit. JK - This is an argument Christians have always had. I think it is still a result of our inability to understand as humans the nature of the Father and Son. Ther is only one God, but we should worship Jesus. How do you reconcile that = Jesus is God. I think an honest search of the earliest history of Chistianity shows there was no agreement on what books should even be in the bible much less what they taught about Jesus divinity. The council of Nicea in 325 AD claimed Jesus to be God but did not mention the Spirit or its place in the Godhead. .... Your post here is interesting because I believe many JWs have no idea what there religion teaches or have taught in the past.

    What I have on those things, including the JWs leaders altering the evidence
    of early Christian history like one of the nuttier 9 11 conspiracy theorists
    complete with complaints from authors about misuse of their research material,
    misdirection about what the more common view is, etc., is on pp.4 and 7-10 of
