Just wondering if any of these former acquaintances of mine might now have joined the brotherhood of xjws. Or if anyone might have known them in this small world of Jwism.

I don't think so, snakes.
He was a MS here for a few years, then moved back to his home area of Vegas sometime around early 80's I think. Alan would be 50ish.
Last time I saw him was when he came for a visit at our hall in the 90's. He was dressed rather 'worldly' according to some, wearing a leather jacket instead of the polyester sort. Rumor was that he has 'left the truth' by that time, but I never confirmed that. His daughter became a model of some sort I heard. He had a son also. I think he and his wife either divorced or were living as man and wife but not really happy. His wife's name was Cindi. Nice family when I knew them.
Of course rumors are often wrong. And that's about all I have to go on.
I really liked the guy. I hope he and his all got out of the bOrg. But his name is common and a google search ends up with too many paths to follow them all successfully.
