"9 stone weakling". How big/heavy is 9 stone??

It's, erm, 14 pounds multiplied by 9. The reference is to an old British ad for some bodybuilding device which asked 'Are you a nine stone weakling?' and depicted a weedy guy getting sand kicked in his face by a six-packed beaut on a beach. It's a Brit thang, honey.

In the USA, Charles Atlas used to target his ads to 97 pound weaklings. Presumably a 9 stone weakling could beat up a 97 pound weakling.

...and you Rocky Horror fans know that Charles Atlas developed the "Dy-namic Tension" method, right?

NN, Would he need a stone to do it?

If one of the nine stone was a cobblestone, it would give a distinct advantage, yes.

Speaking of the Kinks, I saw them in concert in Seattle about 1981.

During the song "Superman", and when the line "catch me I'm falling" was sung, a dufus fell through the ceiling onto the crowd. I thought it was part of the show until they stopped the show to get the injured people out. The dummy that fell over seventy feet onto the crowd walked away uninjured.

I'm gonna make mince meat outta that Osama!
