Does WT Practice a Form of Human Sacrifice?

Is it politically co-erced behavior in the name of religion?

Why should taking a blood transfusion be a fate worse than death?

Why should a person prefer to die rather than be grateful for an available donated organ?

Aren't WT dictates just another form of human sacrifice?

Not to mention sacrificing a good education and livelihood for the teaching of a paradise earth that isn't even Biblical.

I have often thought so. Blood has long been viewed as sacred to the God(s). Many human sacrifices involved shedding blood as a kind of gift to the God(s). The Jehovah's Witnesses willingness to sacrifice their lives to protect the supposed sanctity of blood doesn't seem too different from ancient human blood sacrifices.

I think it's a form of human sacrifice, even if the human lives to a normal age, when most of every day is spent studying washtowels, going to boasting sessions, and going out in field circus. Plus, you have education just about banned, crappy dead-end jobs, and people that are supposed to do whatever the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger tells them to. They even admit that it is a sacrifice (the fruitage of the lips, a self-sacrificing spirit, etc.)

All in defiance to "the perfect sacrifice, to which nothing ever need be added"--itself grounds to reject the Washtowel. Plus, if the whole sacrifice arrangement is not needed (and without Original Sin, no sacrifice is necessary), you don't even need Jesus' sacrifice.

    Absolutely.

I've spoken of this in other threads. It is my opinion that the WTS demands it members to sacrifice their children (as well as themselves) to Jehovah by refusing necessary blood transfusions. I believe the Lord called the act of sacrificing your children an abomination.

    Robdar,

When you say "the Lord", who are you referring to? Jesus? Jehovah? Please clarify.
