There are some pretty big differences changes made in 1960 and 1970, as far as I can tell.
Examples:
1950 edition: "Again Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and ceased to breathe".
1960, 1984 editions: "Again Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and yielded up [his] spirit" (Matthew 27:50).1950 edition: "Originally the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was originally with God".
1960, 1984 editions: "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in [the] beginning with God" (John 1:1).1950 edition: " And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as missionaries, some as shepherds and teachers, with a view to the training of the holy ones for ministerial work".
1970, 1984 editions: "And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelizers, some as shepherds and teachers, with a view to the readjustment of the holy ones, for ministerial work" (Ephesians 4:11-12).1942 KJV published by the WTB&TS: "And ye, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord".
1950 edition of NWT: "And you, fathers, do not be irritating your children, but go on bringing them up in the discipline and authoritative advice of Jehovah".

I have a vague vague memory of a talk explaining that a major "enhancement" in the 1984 version was a change from "Lord Jehovah" to "Sovereign Lord Jehovah" in Isaiah and maybe Ezekiel. Something about enhancing the issue of "universal sovereignty" or some such tommyrot.
Never took the time to see if it was true or not.

1970, 1984 editions: "But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: 'And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him' " (Hebrews 1:6).Jesus no longer gets worship in the later NWT, that would make Him the same as Jehovah God so these days He only gets respect from the WT.
There is absolutely no reason as to this change other than the WT seeking to demote Jesus. The word hasn't changed in the greek (proskuneo), it is still worship but suddenly the NWT decides to substitute "obeisance" for every reference relating to Jesus. See here and decide for yourself
