The guy is an artist, notice how he effortless weaves into his blog entry the arrival of a JW at his door. And notice the huge impact this visit - and acceptance of some 'life saving literature' - had on his day.
I've been saying that for a long time, people only accept the litter because they are too polite not to! I know people who just don't know how to get rid of jw's at the door just because they are too polite to say 'don't come back'. When they find out they are required to report their time talking to them and 'placing' literature, they get pissed off and think the jw's are not there out of the goodness of their heart to spread the supposed word of God but only to earn their brownie points. When they find this out they finally feel like they can tell them to put them on a do not call.
@ Carla, you've absolutely hit the nail on the head. The door-to-door work could not be more disingenuous if it tried.
