I was wondering why there has been no mention of the many mini quakes along San Andreas belt this last weekend.

Does anyone know why nothing has been mentioned on the news? There have been well over 40 + of these tremors of over 2.2 on the Richter scale and yet, total silence.

I know earth quakes happen everyday!! There's about a million a year.

I am talking about the San Andreas fault line specifically which does not have quakes everyday.

You might like to look at the EDIS web site. Fascinating site.

maybe the local news covered that, I will try to find it.

I doubt that anyone sees 2.2 as anything to get excited about, regardless of the quantity.

I get earthquake alerts via email. You can too. Use Google to find a service.

2.2 would never get a mention.

    They are ALL listed here:

    California and Nevada here:

    http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/special/California_Nevada.php

362 events on this map as I write!

you must assume the media don't think it's worth reporting, no one's dead yet!
