Meryl, as ever, is superb in her part, but everybody in this film is soo good.
Did you think this was a whitewash, to make us feel sorry for the priests who were found out - in those cases on little more than hunches?
Do you think there is a reason that the Principal (Meryl) is portrayed as a twisted bitch?
I found by the end that I liked her more than the priest.

Three of us saw it . One thought he did it, one didn't. And one thought the whole purpose of the film was to show how hard it is to judge; thus the title.
Good movie, Merrill was fantastic. I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic School. The era they shot this movie in was the same time I attended grade school (yes, Iam a bit old) and they got it right. I have some stories to tell about the priests as well as some of the nuns I was exposed to(no pun intended).
