  John Wyndhams "Day of the triffids" is going to have another TV series filmed

  I loved the last adaptation, loooks like this will be big budget (well for the BBC! )

  Anyone else a fan of Wyndhams books? I think he is a bit under-rated as a writer.

  For anyone who hasn't read the book the premise is that a large proportion of the population has been blinded by a natural disaster and venomous plants called triffids start preying on people.

  i watched the re-reuns when they were on, even tho it was pretty dated i quite enjoyed it,

  i enjoyed the midwhich cukoo book, ive probably still got the penguin version tucked up in the house somewhere, and i still prefer the old black and white film to the newer version 'village of the damned'.
