So tonight I am helping him fill out the paperwork. They ask for all kinds of information, naturally, and we have to discuss how to spell his birth father's name(!) and where he lives. I still have to remind him to use his own legal name on paperwork and acknowledge the name he used most of his life(my husbands last name)as an AKA identity.
All this nonsense about Obama's birth certificate(yes, I pay attention to that crap, and read the Enquirer at the checkout stand, too!) has made me conscious that at some point, he could get grief about his bigamous, abandoning, foreign father whom he has never ever met. What if Ryan wants to be president some day? It will feel like deja vu all over again for you all:) Stupid mother, marrying bad guy. At least I didn't abandon him to make pottery in Indonesia, but STILL!
If they don't let Obama be president, I will take it personally. And I didn't even vote for the man! I am fighting for my son, here!

Update, my son, the Dev Patel look alike, has passed the Army physical and is (LOL) looking forward to the food. They fed him well at MEPS. Ah, the old 'bait and switch'. I have eaten in the mess. It is called that for a reason:)

I met with the Army, Navy, and Army Reserves in January after getting laid off in December. I was just exploring my options since I never considered serving my country as a Witness. I tested with flying colors. They wanted to put me in Officer school straight out of boot camp. I thought about it....I decided I don't want to be a tool for oppression with what is coming. However, my friend works for a contractor in Iraq. He does security and over 120k. He says I could do close to 200k doing IT over there on a 1 year contract. That I might consider, it is a lot of money.
