Are JW's the only ones that "label" individual's apostate? I'm asking because it seems that I've never heard anyone of any other faith make comments about apostates. Just curious...

Mormons also use the term apostate. Additionally, they also shun former members ("apostates')

Jbean, if you think about if for aminute, you will realize that anayone who is a jdub is already an apostate. They wanted you to withdraw (DA/DF yourself) from your former church and joing their religion of apostates (them). So everyone who went there had to be an apostate in one form or another so to speak.
So all the children born after thier parents were in the Apostate (truth -yeck) were Born Apostates!.
Apostacy is the norm in Jdub land. Buff
