    Meek:

1 : enduring injury with patience and without resentment:mild

2 :deficient in spirit and courage :submissive

    3 :not violent or strong:moderate

If the "meek will inherit the earth"

Does this mean that only those who are willing to be led by others will be allowed to live?

Does this mean that only those who submit to whatever authority is in charge will be allowed to live?

Could this be the reasoning behind the "why only active JWs in good standing will survive Armageddon"?

Will Armageddon be a culling process of all independent thinkers?

    Some thoughts other than Webster's[

***it-2p.364Meekness***In the Bible, meekness is emphasized as one’s mental attitude first of all toward God, then toward fellow creatures. For example, it is written: "The meek ones will certainly increase their rejoicing in Jehovah himself." (Isa 29:19) Meek persons are teachable—Jehovah "will teach the meek ones his way" (Ps 25:9)

A mildness of temper, without haughtiness or vanity. The mental disposition that enables one to endure injury with patience and without irritation, resentment, or vindictive retaliation. It is a close companion of and seldom found separate from such other virtues as humility, lowliness of mind, and gentleness.

The reason behind the WTBTS stance on Armageddon is from Rutherford who went against Woodrow Wilson and challenged the USA Constitional Laws of Freedom of Speech! Most the Jehovah's Witnesses are repeating things that they no longer understand because they can not do research. If the WTBTS quotes scriptures they could care less about the history as to why a saying was started. At least you do!

During Woodrow Wilson time, Rutherford went against laws stating that during War time one could not write about the war. Rutherford went door to door with the Finished Mystery book! He knew what was written in this book and request the people use it at the door! He knew he was going against Wilson laws! After all Rutherford was one of the secret writers and publisher of the Finished Mystery Book. Although the Proclaimer Book will tell a different story!

Also, Rutherford was a drunk in Stantion Island who used the money of the WTBTS to broadcast that the world is Satan organization and he was given them notice or they would suffer God's wrath, Armageddon. He had other motives that most JWs during the time was probably not aware! and that was his needs to push the Constitional Rights of Freedom of Speech. Rutherford preached about Armageddon and put the world on notice but in reality he was just proving his expressed rights. He was trying to get politcal and religious powers mad so they would go up against him and would infringe upon his freedom to say what he wanted! He was person who wanted changes and the The WTBTS was a means to help him gain these changes.

Rutherford's books are proof that he could care less for the deeper things of God's word and that he was writing out of obligation more than a desire to help others understand God purpose. Really now! it was horrible times when Rutherford spewed out his Armageddon sermons! Who could have survived his drunken rages! FCC found reason to put his Stanton Radio broadcasting out of business.

I think Rutherford became a drunk because he made his fortune from another man's accomplishments. Rutherford sold himself for something he was not!
