How I Got the Truth - Part one

It was 40 years ago when a scrap of paper blew past and got stuck in the windscreen wiper of my car. Somehow I knew this was the truth. It was the size of a thumbnail with nothing written on it except "42" Obviously a page number. I knew this was important information and that god was trying to tell me something. For the next 5 years I searched for the origin of the mysterious piece of paper looking up and down. Pacing the street where I found it - Knocking on doors, searching rubbish tins until one day I was visited by angels- Men in coats so white they shone like the morning snow. They dressed me in the ephod of contemplation. It felt so snug to be strapped in like that - hands across my chest and laced around my back in a prayerful pose – like being in the arms of God. They took me to the prayer chamber (whether in body or spirit I do not know) with soft walls of velvet. While I realized the privilege God had shared with me I knew my quest had just begun. After many days of prayer and fasting the authorities released me back into the community. But only if I promised to take the manna they gave me three times a day with a glass of water. At once I wanted to give thanks to God. Directly upon my release I kneeled to pray – Chariots rushed at me - I knew this was on the broad road –. When I woke from my coma in the intensive care unit many weeks later I vowed to renew my search that had started so many years earlier.
