Trans-Siberian Orchestra has just announced tour dates for this years Christmas show. Don't let their name fool you... it is Christmas and classical music on electric guitars and, yes, even electric violins. Not only that but they do an excellent light show... and they tell a story in between the songs using the songs to fill in the gaps. It's a great show and I highly recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest inclination to check it out.

Shameless bump...
We saw them in Seattle a few years ago. There were at a smaller venue than the one they use now, so it was a little more intimate. One of the fun parts was taking our sons (about 16 and 25 at the time). They thought they were being hauled to a Xmas show by mom and dad, and found themselves at a Rock concert instead.
We had a really good time.
maybe I can make it this year...
