Any tips on the subject book, my wife has this book out and it appears that it may be the book she is going to be reading to help her read the bible.
Is there a copy I can download somewhere, any list of fallacies with this book or doctrinal twists??

If she is just a casual nonJW reader then ask her if you can research it with her. The WT approach is simple, be dismissive and overgenerizing about critics of Bible literalism. This type of argument explodes as soon as a reader discerns they are being snowed. It really only works on those who wish to be convinced to justify a dearly held belief. It's been years but I think the book tries the usual bunk about the Bible being uniquely influential (its popular so it must be true), scientifically accurate and prophetically infallible. In order for these arguments to appear rational they completely ignore just what is being said by scholars and use proverbial red herings. If you do a very simple search here there is a great resource for thought provoking questions. Behemot for example has started a couple threads just recently that may open the eyes.

Thanks Atlantis, much appreciated. I am pretty sure she will be studying with a pain in the ass sister, should I offer to read it with her when she is preparing...my only concern is knowing my wife, she will not prepare very well and I may encourage her to prepare if I do with her.
