Notice that in 1922 they “knew” that the resurrection of the anointed had at least begun if not come to completion. And yet in 2007 they are in discussion about when this took place. *** re chap. 26 pp. 172-173 God’s Sacred Secret—Its Glorious Climax! *** Jehovah Takes Power 6 Christ enthroned in God’s Kingdom—what joy this announcement calls forth! John reports: “And the twenty-four elders who were seated before God upon their thrones fell upon their faces and worshiped God, saying: ‘We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king.’”—Revelation 11:16, 17. 7 The ones that offer these thanks to Jehovah God are the 24 elders, symbolizing the anointed brothers of Christ in their heavenly positions. From 1922 onward a remnant on earth of these 144,000 anointed ones got busy in the work that was set in motion by the trumpet blasts. They came to realize the full import of the sign at Matthew 24:3–25:46. Even earlier in the Lord’s day, however, their fellow witnesses who had already ‘proved faithful even to death’ had been resurrected to take their positions in heaven, so that they could now represent the entire group of 144,000 in falling upon their faces to render homage to Jehovah. (Revelation 1:10; 2:10) How thankful all of these are that their Sovereign Lord has not delayed in bringing his sacred secret to a climactic finish! *** w07 1/1 p. 28 pars. 11-13 “The First Resurrection”—Now Under Way *** What, then, can we deduce from the fact that one of the 24 elders identifies the great crowd to John? It seems that resurrected ones of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communicating of divine truths today. Why is that important? Because the correct identity of the great crowd was revealed to God’s anointed servants on earth in 1935. If one of the 24 elders was used to convey that important truth, he would have had to be resurrected to heaven by 1935 at the latest. That would indicate that the first resurrection began sometime between 1914 and 1935. Can we be more precise? 12 At this point, it may be helpful to consider what might be viewed as a Bible parallel. Jesus Christ was anointed as the future King of God’s Kingdom in the fall of 29 C.E. Three and a half years later, in the spring of 33 C.E., he was resurrected as a mighty spirit person. Could it, then, be reasoned that since Jesus was enthroned in the fall of 1914, the resurrection of his faithful anointed followers began three and a half years later, in the spring of 1918? That is an interesting possibility. Although this cannot be directly confirmed in the Bible, it is not out of harmony with other scriptures that indicate that the first resurrection got under way soon after Christ’s presence began. 13 For example, Paul wrote: “We the living who survive to the presence of the Lord [not, to the end of his presence] shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17) Therefore, anointed Christians who died before Christ’s presence were raised to heavenly life ahead of those who were still alive during Christ’s presence. This means that the first resurrection must have begun early in Christ’s presence, and it continues “during his presence.” (1 Corinthians 15:23) Rather than occurring all at once, the first resurrection takes place over a period of time.

There's only one way to salvation. Accept Jesus into your heart. Humble yourself. He shines so brightly in my heart !

    01. April 1986 QfR:

Do we have Scriptural precedent for taking such a strict position? Indeed we do! Paul wrote about some in his day: "Their word will spread like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of that number. These very men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred; and they are subverting the faith of some." (2 Timothy 2:17, 18; see also Matthew 18:6.) There is nothing to indicate that these men did not believe in God, in the Bible, in Jesus’ sacrifice. Yet, on this one basic point, what they were teaching as to the time of the resurrection, Paul rightly branded them as apostates, with whom faithful Christians would not fellowship.

This is most fascinating. When the F&DS was supposedly appointed in 1919, the Watch Tower Society was still teaching that the Resurrection had begun in 1878 -- a teaching not altered until 1927 -- and which teaching the WTS now rejects as false. Does it not bugger the imagination to believe the Lord appointed over all his belongings an organisation that (by its own published standard) would be 'rightly branded apostate, with whom faithful Christians would not fellowship'? Furthermore, I'm calling foul on their attempts to moderate their previous dogma. I remember something regarding the pre-2007 teaching that the resurrection had unequivocally begun in 1918. In the Paradise Lost book, page 192, paragraph 30 it stated in no uncertain terms:

"One of the many enlightening truths that God now gave his witnesses was about the members of God's spiritual nation who had died physically. This was in 1927. In that year the witnesses understood that the dead spiritual Israelites had been raised in 1918 to life in heaven with Christ Jesus. It was an invisible resurrection, of course."

Since the Society stated that it was God himself who gave them the teaching, they are in no position to repudiate that teaching. They should be stuck with it...

God.....I can't believe I ever had to sit and listen to this tripe ......Isn't there something in the Revelation Climax book where it talks about the 24 elders actually speaking to the 144,000?? I remember my devouted Aunt actually sticking up her hand at the bookstudy and saying "I'm sorry, but that just doesn't make any sense to me. If the 24 elders represent the 144,000, how can they be talking to themselves?" Naturally, she never got a proper response.

Sure we can......Just wait a few minutes until the crack cocaine kicks in, and we'll really get down to the nitty-gritty!

It's amazing that the Holy Spirit is so out of touch with God's Chosen Ones that they have to continuously use vague, meaningless words such as "it seems" or "may be" or "indicate" and "if" when interpreting the scriptures. They haven't a clue what they're talking about, yet it's still mandatory that every single Witness except their bizarre theories originating from the Twilight Zone, on pain of disfellowshipping.
