At what point would you go bankrupt (or similar drastic measure) if gasoline keeps going up?
Today in Vancouver B.C. I payed 1.336/litre at the pump for regular. I think I would go bankrupt if gas hit 2.50/litre. How about you - be honest if you can.
Well - I don't know if I would. Having a company vehicle and all.... or soon to have one. I"m lucky.
Why don't you sell your vehicle, walk a bit more/ take the sky train and rent a vehicle on weekends for your jaunts, if that's possible. I have a few friends that have done it and are quite happy about it. Also, buying a vehicle through a vehicle sharing group can help.

I don't think we would go "Bankrupt", my husband is retired, so we are on a fixed income. I think regardless of the price, we could survive. We are thankfully within walking distance of a grocery store.
My job is in walking distance. If it got extremely expensive, I would just ride my motorcycle more.
I think people would just improvise. Around here you already see alot of people on bikes of all kinds, even driving golf carts...some of which are battery powered.
