Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You speech

Inaugural Address by John F. Kennedy - January 20th 1961

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

"My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

Seems the Democrats have gotta away from that line of thinking. (Just a thought)

    How so?

I've quit watching all the election coverage in the last two or three weeks. Must be burnout because this campaign has been so god-awful long.

yeah, this is a co-dependent nation - we don't have to solve everyone's problems and it's a little arrogant for Americans to think they can, or to think it is their job.

Seems the Democrats have gotta away from that line of thinking.

Neither political party supports citizens being involved in their government. Civic education has been wiped clean out of the schools and neither party supports getting it back in.
