in modern bibles it reads "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." in nwt it reads kind of similar except it leaves off through Christ. If not through Christ, then who?

I have always liked that verse. was modern the correct word? I use a variation of bibles including nkjv . more often I use kjv and it says the same thing. but I am curious as to the answer to my post. is it jesus that the nwt is talking about? if so why not say it. if not who? thanks for your help

Because the text of Philippians, according to the earliest available manuscripts (the original Sinaiticus, the Alexandrinus, the Vaticanus, the original Codex Bezae, etc.) doesn't. Later scribes added Khristô at the end of the sentence under the influence of 1 Timothy 1:12, it became widespread in middle-ages Byzantine manuscripts, and this was carried over into the 16th-century Textus Receptus, and then into the (N)KJV.
Enjoy the (N)KJV, but by all means if you want to see where the NWT is textually "wrong" compare it to "modern" versions that take into account the basic results of textual criticism (such as the New Jerusalem Bible, the NRSV, the GNB or even the NIV).
