I got the chance to rake through the bound volumes and noted that in Witchtowers from 1981 onwards, the masthead does not say "the Creators promise of etc before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away."
Is this the WTBTS already protecting itself, or did I just not find the relevant volumes?
Incidentally, one of the witlesses claimed that they were thinking years ago "this can't be right" about the 1914 generation, when we chatted about the "noolite" in this weeks Witchtower study.
Talk about False Memory Syndrome!!
