I read it, yes. I didn't think it was the greatest writing in the world, but it was a very interesting storyline. I think the author did a good job of giving several sides of things. It would have been easy to write it just from the perspective of the youngest daughter and villify the mother, but really, I think most parents who received that news would do anything to save the life of a child. Every day I think parents have to make small decisions that may be positive for one child but negative for another, this is just a huge decision, an extreme.
On some levels it was a difficult read for me, having watched so many of my family go through various cancer treatments, but overall it was an interesting concept and a good read. I wouldn't call it a great book, but certainly good.
