where you traveling from? I'm north of Seattle, and most likely can't get free to meet up, but I can still give you recomendations of what to see or where to go.

What do you like to do or go see? Winter hasn't quite settled in yet, so I don't think the ski places are open yet, You can check that online. Summer is better for hiking, but there are some close to the city that are cool, and if you have rain gear that can be a good day.

There's lots of shopping downtown, on Capitol hill, and outlet malls about an hour drive away. The outlet mall near Tulalip (Indian Reservation, Casino, hotel) is a good one.

Pike Place market is where I went and did secret santa shopping two days ago, and from there you can walk to the Space Needle and Pacific science center, or down to the waterfront to more shops and the Aquarium. Get a ride to Green Lake, $20+ Taxi fare and go to the zoo.

There are some galleries and art museums, but you'd need to look those up online.

If you're going to the south end towards Tacoma there is more of the same; shopping, zoo & aquarium, a glass museum and hostorical sites.

If you feel like really driving, you could head down to St. Helens, or to the Paradise side of Mt Ranier. On a clear day in the winter-kinda rare-the view is awesome.

I don't think the Dinner Train runs anymore, they moved it and sold the tracks, you could check again online. Lots of wineries in the state, many down along the Columbia, into Walla Walla and up the center of the state all the way to BC.

Storms are fun to whatch on the coast, the entire Pacific coast is great, you could go all the way through Oregon. Fun drive.

From Seattle, if you have your pass port, you could take the Victoria Clipper and head up to Victoria B.C. I've not been there, but have looked at travel information, and it is a nice place to visit. Vancouver is also a fun city, been there twice for hockey games and shopping at Asian specialty stores (that's my thing).

There's much more. Just post questions or PM me.

    Enjoy your stay.
