Whales & Other air breathing marine life

Sea animals like whales, dolphins and porpoises all need to surface for air. They could easily drown. Wouldn't a wise creator, the author of perfection have seen fit to give them gills? Much safer, less stress, etc. I mean, some whales take a breath and then go down to tremendous depths to hunt for food. Then, it's back up to the top again, and so on, endlessly. Doesn't make much sense. However, evolutionarily, it does make sense. A land animal that adapted to living in the ocean. Not perfectly adapted, but working well enough to survive. Further thoughts?

Here's a fantastic article talking about the transitional forms that led up to modern whales. It goes to show how evolution slowly adapted these mammals for purely aquatic life.

If this is true, you'd expect them to have found a whale skeleton with legs.

    What? They have?

    Georgiacetus vogtlensis, the Georgia whale.
Eocene, 42 m.y. old. The oldest whale skeleton from North America.
Note the presence of the rear legs.
The hip bone is not firmly anchored to the rest of the skeleton,
so the whale probably could not walk on dry land.
On display at Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA.

And people can actually visit Georgia Southern University and see this with their own eyes? My word! Evolution might not just be a fairy tale after all, what with actual proof and all.

    Thanks marmot

It's interesting to see that evolutionists predict that a certain type of intermediate fossil will be found, and then it is. The evidence for evolution is piling up. Creationism/id, otoh, has none to speak of. 'Course, their adherents don't need any, they have faith.
