With the new Kool-Aid edition of the WT coming out in a few months, I think we are going to see some REAL changes in the WTS...(duh, ya' think?)

I think they may use apostasy as scriptural grounds for divorce. I think there are scriptures that could be twisted to support this. What do you think?

If they can come up with scriptures to ban independant thinking and research, and get people to accept their reasoning, they can come up with anything.

At this point I believe they could tell each member to sit at the kingdumb hall with their thumb up their rear and they would all comply.

Reading some of the other posts on how elders interfere with marriages and custody issues, I got to thinking that if they can put a wedge between parents and their children, surely it would be no stretch to do it when your mate turns apostate.

I can just see them using the scripture about what sharing does light have with darkness, etc. An unbelieving mate is one thing, but a believing mate that turns apostate may be considered a different thing. This might put the brakes on some leaving the org.

I, for one, can see them doing this.

I agree with you, theres a definite possiblity of this happening. Such is their ever growing fear of people against their beliefs especially ones who were once members of their Org.

As a further extension of their fear of 'Apostates' i still think that their going to one day put a 'ban' on internet use for their members (as previously mentioned in a thread i started up the other day). I know a lot of you disagree with me but i think that this is the way things will develop in the near future.
