A mother's story

    I bore you in pain

The ultimate moment of my life

A perfect moment; the best history of my mind

    And you grew

A gorgeous dependant baby; your first steps, innocence and inquisitiveness mixed in equal measure, your care my priority

First school, first day, proud parents concealing their angst

Thousands of days thereafter, a blend of encouragement, help, nuture, exasperation, pride but above all else love

And then a decision; to represent your country, to learn the art of war, to obey the commands of those who lead

Into a foreign country, to fight someone else's battle, a battle which in my heart we should have left well alone

    Because of religion

    Because of twisted leadership

    Because of intolerance

    Because of greed

    Because of your decision

You will never walk back through my door

And I can never again tell you I love you

Because of a crazy world and a pointless war

For all those who have lost a loved one, because of mankinds refusal to accept the condition of peace and the moral obligation to treat others as we would be treated, or simply not to harm others.

I'm sorry. I agree with you - the world might have learned other ways of dealing with conflict by now, if it weren't for religion.

So true it is the indivuals fault that they will not speak to you.

Just because they say so... how wrong is it to be shunned.
