After reading many poems on the board recently, I decided to put my poem here. This is called "Heal" and it will be published later this month.
Walking the forest on a moonlit morning,
I the only creature stirring.
Devoid of color yet distance I can see,
I'll leave something here to set myself free.
The sun shall rise a cavity opens,
a brief eternity that's never spoken.
A pain within to leave it it's place,
to heal my heart and soul I must race.
Darker it gets, it's not in my mind,
unable to see now, to myself I am kind.
Cast from me now the hurt and pain,
something never cleansed by the rain.
A new day triumphs with the light,
the battle won, it was a long hard fight.
Darkness, hurt and pain now married,
away on the morning breeze it is carried.
