I can't say that my ritual is a good one. Today I drained the fish pond, shoveled fish poop and refilled the pond. It's now ready for summer.

When I was a kid there used to be some kind of pole dancing thing on the first day of May. Not quite the same kind of pole dancing that is practiced today though, but you could always ask and see if your wife would go for it.
