Shane Bernier want to break a world record. He is a seven-year old boy from a small Eastern Ontario town who has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He turns 8 May 30 and his wish for his birthday, during which he will likely be in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy, is to break a world record for the most birthday cards. To do this he must collect more that 3.5 million.

I never can tell what's a scam and what isn't, so nowadays I look things up on the Snopes site or the Urban Legends site. It's amazing what things turn out to be fake. In fact it's kind of fun to wander around the Snopes site and see what the latest urban legends are.
