So got the new bound Volume tonight - a half size Awake - really suprised the ydid not cobine with the WT. It looks really starnge but still in a brown cover and in paperback

God I remember when I thought those volumes were worth their weight in gold. I looked up the article, "You Must Assist Those Who Are Weak" a lot. I even showed it to two elders because my chicken ex husband and his brother wouldn't do it. Yes sirree and then I was labled a Jezebel for sticking up with the weak in the cong.
Sounds like the literal bound Awake! is getting to be more weightless all the time. How do they get away with paring down their crap to a thin veil and then still hold such control over our beloved friends and relatives? If it weren't so pathetic, I'd laugh.

I got mine as well - it fairly messes up my bookshelf - 1/2 size indeed! The display was already spoiled with the full size paper back editions - but this volume completely destroys any order or arrangement whatsoever. What happened to 1 Cor 14:40? I know one brother who takes his paperback bound volumes to a book binder to rebind in hardback - what is he going to do? Cheesh! And as for my yearbook collection - it's a joke now. Anybody got a decent 30 volume leather bound Encylopedia Brittanica for sale...!
