The UK "No Blood" Card expects the Card holder to allow a Hospital Liaison Committee access to their medical records and to details of their medical condition.

Is the action requested on the Card legal?

Is a medical care facility bound by this agreement?

Does this request appear on Cards in other countries?

Doug, I am in the US. From what I hear the US blood cards dont have that. Also here in the US, Im pretty sure that anyone who isnt immediate family would have to be named specifically by the patient before info would be given out.

If I remember correctly, they are not REQUIRED to give the HLC or elders access but it is a CHOICE. I am not aware that any sanctions will be taken by the elders against JWs that choose not to give that access.

Do you have access to a UK POA card that you can post a scan here?
