"Thus saith the LORD; execute ye judgement and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled one out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place." ( Jeremiah 22:3 )

"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried, they shall be dung upon the ground." ( Jeremiah 25:32,33 )

[Borg Advocate]Well of course, the first scripture would apply to residents within the nation. If they were of the pagan and god-dishonoring nations round about, they were fair game for slaughtering.[/Borg Advocate]

Seriously, is there anything God loves more than killing humans? I mean, he was an addict, he really was.

It happened on the way at a lodging place, that the LORD met him and wanted to kill him.

    --Exodus 4:24, Hebrew Names Version

Remember folks, that was MOSES that God wanted to kill (or Moses' son, depending on the translation). Apparently the foreskin--that He created all penises to have naturally--offended him so much that he had to put the man to death for having one! Furthermore, it makes God look like a psycho, just hanging out at the inn, with a switchblade and a bad temper. Did Moses know what was going on? Was there this shiny, bright being just waiting there, making cutthroat gestures to Moses?
