Sucks big time.
Through the shell I built so strongly
Of confusion and anger and hate
Through the shields of deceptions and misconceptions
Into the alter you sneaked, with your bucket of cleanser
Wiping away the grit and grime, spraying on cleanliness and discernment
Prying out the shrapnel of my own private wars from my heart
Replacing the pieces with integrity and hope
Stripping away layers of fallacy and bitter armor
Until only a skeleton remained
Then the bones split to remove the marrow of lies planted there from so long ago
Some breaks have mended, wounds have healed
Stronger and straighter is my path and vision
Anger is replaced by ambition
Hate by pity
Deceptions long ago fled at the sight of love
All that is left is driven and sincere
But it is not enough
What has been built is magnificent
But is not enough
You wanted to fix me
Help me find me
Find the truth, the real
Now that is found
But it is not enough
Now that all the large stones are moved from the road
The road must move back to the stones.
Such a pity.
