Sure, anyone could pick apart the "messenger," but for what his message is worth, I think he's a good speaker.

Overall, I felt the film was easy to follow and well presented.

It got a well deserved Academy Award, but even without that, It's worth watching.

Not to take a side, but for balance, you might also read Michael Crichton's "State of Fear". It takes a "global warming isn't quite what it's played up to be" approach, and quotes statistics, too.

Again, I don't claim to know how big or small global warming is, or how much or how little man is contributing to it. But it's always best to balance things out with opposing views.

According to critics, a person who owns a vehicle, throws out waste and garbage that goes into landfills, and uses electricity should just shut up about global warming.

The fact is in North America alone, with very few exception, we ALL in some way depend on cars, we ALL generate waste and we ALL use electricity.

So does that mean as indivudials we can't take some steps to reduce our contribution to global warming? I think not.
