My stepfather is in Jan 1, 2007 WT

  Mom gave me a copy of the Jan. 1 WT today and on page 14, first paragraph, my stepfather, Henry Zinser is mentioned.

  If anyone is interested, it's kind of a neat mention. At the time (1943) he was a CO in Canada.

  My parents met him in 1950 and in 1969 after my parents, divorced, he married my mother. They were together until his death in August 2001. He was a truly gentle, lovely man............very devoted to the WTS and its teachings but he never rejected us when we left. He was grandpa to my kids, and they all loved him. He never had his own children, so kids were a mystery to him, but he did well with mine.

  He was a JW with some heart given the fact that he didn't shun ex JWs as the org demands from its members.

  What a nice story. How rare it is in the world of JW's.

  Nice to hear something about a good JW who held a pretty high position. We usually hear about the bad ones here. If I remember correctly when I was a jw they didn't use the names of the people in the magazines when they wrote a story involving them.
