anyone know the details of the "special work" before AND after the memorial? some mentioned a big "invite" tract for the memorial. i would guess maybe the same for the DC?
i am sure an elder or servant can give us more info or even a scan. i love the look on the elders faces when i mention the super- secret- double- hidden info that only they know before all of us "lowly" publishers.
CA rant and recap.... nothing shocking really......
just had the local CA and i tell you it was boring, just a quick mention of online dating being bad. the rest, and i mean the whole thing was basically " spend your time and money on kingdom interest", and don't spend time (extra time) working, going to college, watching tv, going on vacations, etc.
i especially hate when they chastise people for the way they spend money. the speaker talked about the nations debt, and credit cards and how that puts a burden on you, blah, blah, blah. i felt like standing up and telling him to let me spend my money whatever way i want, and if i want a 60 inch TV, i am going to get it, and buy it on credit (too late, i already have one).
atleast if the CA was all about some aspect of christian living, ie, showing love, or joy or kindness i could have got some benefit. but trying to tell me how to live in general is getting tired.

" I think that is a give away in this cult about the mentality. They will tell you what not to do, how to do what they tell you to do, but they really don't spend much time on actual qualities that many consider Christian. When Jesus spoke of justice and mercy and love and tolerance. . .are these things discussed? They are happy to address Pauls legalism, all the legalism in the NT that wasn't from Christ, but barely think to mention the love and actual sweet nature that Jesus showed. I think that is SO lost. . .even if one didn't believe in Christ as a savior, the guy had real principles of life that were so loving, merciful, gentle and good. . .and so lost in the religion that they are barely given even lip service-if that.
