Nosferatu is good at what he does. In fact he is great!!!

Several years ago I was interviewed by various TV and radio stations about abuse issues. Some were based on my personal experience and others based on my professional experience.

I haven't been able to listen to the cassette tapes for many years and doubted that I would ever hear them again. And I figured that after they had aged for 10-15 years and spent a whole winter stored in a garage it would be pretty hard to salvage what was on the tapes. And I no longer had a cassette player to even test them out.

Nos offered to see what he could do with the the cassettes.

wow WOW. What a great job he did. Nos converted the cassette tapes to digital media/CD so I can now play them on my computer.

Now that Nos is setting up a little business I would highly recommend contacting him if you have old cassette tapes you want converted to CDs.

    Thank you so much (((Nos)))

Nos I wonder if you can help me. At my daughters Funeral they made a casset tape...But it is so low we have to strain our ears to hear it.Do you know if it can be made louder> Since you seem to work Miracles

Lee, your tapes were in immaculate condition compared to some of the others that I've worked with, such as the stuff that was in my parents' house fire (smoke, water, melted, mould), and the reel to reel tapes that I have with the peeling oxide and the flaking white lubricant.

I have an online log that I kept while I was doing my reel to reel transfers (I have some pics that need to be added yet). Since then, I built my own temperature chamber for tape baking which works extremely well.

    Here's the log:

Interesting reading Nos. It seems there is a lot more to salvage than I ever thought

Hopefully you can do something with the tapes that were in the fire

The tapes that were in the fire were completely recoverable, but the Commodore 64 floppies were more difficult. They were still soaked with water two months after the fire, and were growing mould. I was able to recover about 60% of the data on them.
