The result of a poll on a Born again Christian forum surprised me - does it you?

Adam and Eve - A Quick Poll
Allegory (Adam and Eve weren't real, they represent all mankind)
    8% (7)
Literal (Adam and Eve were real people)
    87% (72)
Other (Please explain in a post below.)
    3% (3)

I was surprized that 13% have dissenting views.

    Howdy Jeff,

What is noteworthy, IMHO, is that there is dissent. True-Believer JW's don't give dissent a moment's thought, much less have that word in their theocratic vocabulary. While there is the screen of anonymity in a poll, yet any form of doctrinal or other disagreement within the WT is anathema. I gather that the survey was taken among a loosely-joined association of fundamentalists who would not necessarily see all Bible matters in the same light anyway.

Given where former JWs are doctrinally right now, my friends and I are questioning so much that seemed solidly based. Personally, I haven't gotten to the first pair yet. But their reality or non-reality is not an unimportant issue. Can I have a little more time, please?

    Edenically yours,

    CoCo
