The pastor who I knew a few years ago is comming from WVA to preach today and I though it would be nice to talk to him again. The religion doesn't do anything for me but I sometimes like meeting some of the people there.
I hate wearing a tie though, it reminds me so much of all those years years at the KH. At least I won't have to give a talk and conduct the WT study.

Just got back from church. I just can't seem to accept the Christ thing. Since he supposedly created the universe and put people here, even destroyed all but a few once, except the good ones, why would he need to sacrifice his own son to correct his screw up in letting a snake(devil) mislead his creation. Why put us here just to die, then recreate us as a spirit or something to live in heaven, but of course after he throws out the ones that were bad there.
Mabe I should just say praise God and run up to the alter and accept it as truth and then be saved. Do you think that would make God happy? I just can't do it with any conviction. The preacher said you have to be led there by God. I'm ready if he want's me, otherwise I don't have a chance.

I wore a sweater to church this morning because it was a bit cool outside.
Don't worry about what a preacher says about Jesus. Just ask Jesus if he will forgive you of your sins and that you want Him to guide you and that's all it takes if you really believe that He died and was buried and arose agin on the third day. You'll know it when He gives you the FREE gift of everlasting life.
P.S. You will never be the same again.
How do you make yourself believe something you don't see any evidence for?
There is the same evidence for Alah as Christ, some religious people say it's real and there is a book that says so, each one written by some prophet or religious man. If God wants to destroy me for not believing I guess it's not much I can do.

Why not just live your life the best you can and forget about this supernatural rubbish?
You dont need a god. You dont need a saviour. You just need yourself and the love of your fellow human beings. The answers are already inside you.
Ultimately it's surely not about creation, destruction, neck-ties, and crosses? As with so much of life, isn't it about relationships?
I wonder if it's a little like the debates recorded in Matt.16:13-17 where evidently people had been talking about Jesus. He asks what they are saying about him. Then he asks what they think.
For every person you ask you'll get a different opinion. The only way to get a straight answer is usually to go to the source. If the response appears to be silence, then maybe you've already got your answer
