Prince Is Setting Up Shop In Vegas

    Prince

Prince is going the route of Wayne Newton, Celine Dion and other performers, and is about to become a staple of the Las Vegas entertainment scene.

The artist will launch his 3121 club at the Rio hotel and casino with a performance on November 10. He'll play every Friday and Saturday night for an indefinite run at the venue, named after his most recent album, for a ticket price of $125 U.S.

Wednesdays, dubbed "Prince Presents…," will feature a variety of guest performers, including Prince's friends and artists signed to his NPG label. Those nights will set you back $31.21.

Concerts West/AEG Live, which produced Prince's $90-million-grossing Musicology tour in 2004, are working with him on the project.

The room, formerly known as Club Rio, had hosted a topless revue called Club Eroticka from February 2005 until recently. Expect a lot less eroticism from Prince's shows, since the pint-sized star has become a devout Jehovah's Witness and turned his back on his formerly wild ways.

The 2,700-square metre circular-shaped room holds 1,500 people and has a large dancefloor in the centre with two tiers of seating with tables surrounding it. Twelve large video walls surround the club and project funky, colourful (with purple likely being prominent) images and shots of the crowd.

Well no reason for Prince's new venture not to be visited by devout JWs!! "Mother" loves the $ he sends home to her.

The article says to expect "less" eroticism, but the word [less] does not mean that "ALL" eroticism will be excluded!

    Devout Jehovah's Witness?

    What a laugh!

I'm sure he's there only to promote God's Kingdom:

Maybe there's been new light on gambling? Lots of my parents pals have gone to Vegas, "just to see the shows." Maybe the bookies can lay odds on when Armageddon's coming.
