The doctrine of 1914 states Jesus was 'enthroned' at that time, stating that his power was limited up untill then (he only had been made king over the congregation).
Two scriptures that contradict this belief are Ephesians 1:20, and Matthew 28:18. In the latter Jesus states before he is resurrected that:
“All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth"
What further "authority" could Jesus be given in 1914 if he had allready been given ALL AUTHORITY?
Ephesians 1:20 states:
"With which he has operated in the case of the Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this system of things, but also in that to come. 22 He also subjected all things under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills up all things in all."
So does the Bible really teach that Jesus was limited in power up untill 1914?
What are some other scriptures you guys can think of that supports the belief that he recieved all power after he had given his life as a sacrifice, not 1800+ years later?
