Does anyone know whether it is proper to keep a congregation file on a person if he was just accused of apostasy from family member.

If they keep that on file, does it follow you anytime you move to a new congregation?.

They would keep records of any judical meeting, but this doesn't sound like that. If you've been accused of apostasy, and the elders have a judicial committee meeting with you, there would be a sealed envelope with the info. It would stay in that congregation, and if you moved, the body of elders in the new congregation would get info about you from the old congregation's elders, which would likely mention the apostasy accusation.

If there was no committee meeting, there is not going to be any written record of a single accusation. With the two witness rule, it is unlikely that one accusation would lead to a jc meeting. A couple of elders would probably meet with you and try to ferret out more info, which could lead to disfellowshipping.

No record is kept of unsubstantiated accusations.

If a committee meets and you are reproved or df'd information will be placed in a sealed envelope, and if disfellowshipped, the WT Society will be informed as to the details regarding your disfellowshipping.

If you were just reproved and moved BEFORE your privileges were regained, then the new congregation would be informed of some of the details so they could supervise your "growth back to spiritual health".

If some time had passed, months or years, it would be unlikely that any other congregation would be informed except in the case of pedophilia, or several assholes on the body of elders that just wanted to make your life more difficult. Which is too often the case.

It was my experience that any inkling of apostasy would be related to the new congregation as they would view you as a threat to the congregation; I heartily agree with the previous post that most bodies sending a letter to the new congregation will send, in addition to necessary facts, their own personal slant.
