Is there anyone here from Manitoba who has heard anything about this ? Whenever a Jehovah Witness child needs a blood transfusion, I would appreciate it, if you would let me know. Thanks.

http://www.cjob.com/news/index.aspx?src=loc&mc=local&rem=43557 A 15-year-old Manitoba girl is fighting for her right to not receive any blood transfusions. The Jehovah's Witness teen and her parents refused a transfusion for the girl after a doctor recommended the treatment. Winnipeg Child and Family Services intervened and a court motion in April was granted ordering medical personnel to administer the procedure to the girl Her lawyers are appealing that decision arguing a person of any age is capable of deciding what treatment they should receive despite the government's interference. The girl suffers from Chrones Disease which in some cases causes intestinal bleeding. CJOB's Jeff Keele reporting.

Anemia as a result of Crohn's can be, though.
