The WTS recognizes 3 classes
1. the remnant
2. the great crowd
3. Those that attend the memorial but are not part of class 1 or class 2
If the great crowd are the only ones to survive armagedon, then why does the WTS report the number of those who are to be destroyed at armageddon ?
Does the WTS do this to make their membership look big?

Yes. Memorial attendance figures are an internal morale booster and an external marketing tool. Otherwise they are meaningless, they have no practical meaning or value.
